Play is IMPORTANT!

There are so many benefits to learning through play and I've seen them first hand with my students. The teachers that I have worked with in my residencies have seen them. Parents have seen them. Why should you incorporate play into your learning environment? Here’s what the research says…

What People Are Saying

“I learn from visuals and by seeing all your different bins helped me to ‘see’ them in my classroom. That also got my mind thinking about ‘what’ loose parts would work well in the classroom and with the kids. Donna, I thought everything that you spoke about helped me as an educator! You gave me new ideas, you reminded me about the importance of play, and how to incorporate it into my daily class. Thank you for your expertise and love of play!”

— Sharlie (Grade 3 teacher)

“We had so much fun playing with loose parts! Ms. Donna from @playperspective was so awesome. She taught us ways to create characters and display parts of a story using loose parts. We made some very cool characters using alliteration! What a fabulous February with Darling Donna.”

- Laura (Grade 1 teacher)

“It was such a joy to have you in our school and with our staff! It is so clear that you have the experience and background of working in schools and are so helpful to everyone..”

— Colleen (Assistant Principal)
