ABOUT ME

After 25 years in the classroom, I have embarked on a journey to share my passion of learning through play. I started out teaching in a playful manner; building structures, playing games, converting our classroom into a one room schoolhouse, but somewhere along the way I lost my playfulness and, I admit, some of my passion for teaching. In short, I got bogged down by the daily grind. That changed when I was encouraged to go to design thinking and maker workshops. There, I reignited my joy through exploring, creating and playing. Since then, I have been researching and exploring the positive effects of play and how it can enhance learning. Think back to your own positive childhood memories.
